The modernist apartment located on the main floor of the old town of Barcelona, adapts with the renovation to the needs of its new occupants. The original charm of the apartment is maintained, with high ceilings and generous spaces, combined with the introduction of contemporary and functional elements in the kitchen area and bathrooms.
The old traditional hydraulic floor tiles have been carefully restored and complemented in some areas of the rooms, like colourful rugs. The new elements (in the kitchen and bathrooms) and the walls subtly pick up the colours of the floor tiles. The large terrace is conceived as an extension of the apartment, generously expanding its boundaries. The white benches with lime plaster finish and the pergola are reminiscent of traditional mediterranean courtyards.
