Graduated as architect at the Technical Collage for Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB) in 1973. During the years 1977-1998 he joined the Office Bosch-Tarrús-Vives arquitectes, associated with the architects Jordi Bosch and Joan Tarrús. Until 1996 they work together on numerous projects, among which the Faculty of Arts at the University of Girona, Faculty of Translation and Interpretation Bellaterra, the County Museum of Garrotxa in Olot, the Cultural Centre La Mercè in Girona, the Primary Care Center at Paseo Maragall Barcelona and Paseo de la Muralla de Girona are some of the most highlighted works. From 1996 until 1998 he works in association with the architect Conxita Balcells, with whom he carries out several prominent projects like the primary school at Palau de Plegamans, finalist for the FAD Award of Architecture in 2002. In 1998 he founds an independent office and begins a new stage of projecting on his own and in collaboration with other architects. Simultaneously, since 1975 he has been teaching as professor of design and coordinates the students exchange-program Sòcrates at the ETSAB and other universities.

Teaching Experience:

2006-07 Professor responsible for the coordination of Socrates at the schools of architecture in Paris

2000-06 Professor responsible for the coordination of Socrates in Florence and Ferrara

1993-06 Professor in charge of the course Projects V – VI at the ETSAB, dedicated to housing

1985-86 Professor in charge of the course in the project area in the School of Architecture at Washington University in Saint Louis, United States.
