Las 40 obras seleccionadas que compiten en el EU Mies Award 2019

Los cinco finalistas se anunciarán el 13 de febrero y la ceremonia de entrega de premios tendrá lugar el 7 de mayo de 2019 en el Pabellón Mies van der Rohe de Barcelona.

El premio, organizado por la Fundació Mies van der Rohe con el soporte de Creative Europe, cuenta este año con un jurado compuesto por George Arbid, Angelika Fitz, Ștefan Ghenciulescu, Kamiel Klaasse, María Langarita, Frank McDonald y Dorte Mandrup (Presidenta del Jurado) que así describe el trabajo al que se enfrenta esta año el jurado:

“Las 40 obras destacan una nueva agenda que pide nuevas formas de pensar. La excelencia y la habilidad son inherentes en todos los proyectos, pero esto no es suficiente; es necesario que también tengan un impacto y hagan que los mismos arquitectos piensen de manera diferente sobre la profesión”. “Es muy refrescante ver cómo el debate arquitectónico se mueve por Europa, cambiando su centro de discusión de un lugar a otro a lo largo de los años. Esto mantiene viva la arquitectura”.

Las obras seleccionadas se encuentran en 17 países Europeos.
